Trail Of Donuts
As i'm driving down King Street in my new stolen car, i've decided to go home and take the time out to think about my actions. As I walk in the front door, I sit on the couch and turn on the television. Wait... nothing's coming on. I get up, turn on the lights, but that doesn't turn on either. What is going on? I open the door and run across to Esoteric's place and discover that her lights are off too. Then, all of a sudden.. we smell something. Something that has the wonderful and delicious smell of a freshly glazed donut. As Esoteric and I sniff into the air, our eyes close as we imagine the golden donuts floating to where we were. I start to walk lightly to the elevator while my nose was still held high in the air. I go all the way down to the first floor with Esoteric behind me and we go out. Most people were outside looking disappointed because of the power, but others... the look on their faces reminded me of a child's. I look around for a huge donut truck or some type of sign of where this delightful smell could be coming from. I see most people walking around the corner towards Moth Street where the Donut Shop is located. It's packed. Filled with tons of people that have lost power. I go in and sit there. The warm feeling of the shop and the great smell of donuts had me stuck. Stuck sitting there like I was a kid again. I had to get up, but my legs wouldn't let me. Well, I got up anyways and ordered two boxes of donuts since I apparently had no life anymore. As I get up to leave, I just had to try one, so I did. The taste was so much better than the smell and that seemed hard to beat. I leave the Donut Shop with both hands full and I just happen to see the guy whose car I had stolen a day ago. I believe he spotted me that day and i'm pretty sure the look I had on my face was one he wouldn't forget. I start to run as fast I could back to my apartment building. I wasn't worried about the outside world finding out about my past. I look back and he's chasing me. That's fine... I'm a fast runner anyway. I've ran from the cops plenty of times. All I could think about were those donuts. I look back and all I could place my eyes on were the fallen donuts that I had left behind. They reminded me of something. It was like I was leaving behind the only good thing I had left on this block.

Memories
My mind thinks to awhile back to when I had last done something this stupid. In my younger years, I had this crew. You know how most kids think. We were young and dumb like the rest and didn't care about what most thought We were better looking and athletic, but the decisions we made didn't show that. I was the leader. I had everyone following behind my foot steps. One night, everyone was out to get something to eat. I had ordered up the whole place and was about to get some more when I had seen the most beautiful black car ever. Thoughts would cross my mind continuously, but I would let them go as I would talk to those around me. Looking back outside, it was still there and I would think to myself, what if this was mine? What if I was rolling down the street, pulling up to school in this? I got up, dismissed myself and went out to the back parking lot. I looked around me and saw no one. The door was unlocked. I opened it and hopped inside to see the best interior ever. I got down and hot wired it, called me friends, and told them where to meet me. Knowing them, they got in and we sped off. It had to be the dumbest decision I ever made and it brought the best of luck to me. Of course the owner of the vehicle came out to find their no longer car gone missing. Well... they reported it and the only thing I remembered was the blue and yellow flashing lights behind us. Being arrested that night changed my life for the better. Of course being locked up was pretty much horrible, but this is where I wrote my first song. The first piece of rhyme that popped in my head was now being played in the cars of others. After those couple of weeks that I was out, I remembered being surrounded by others and saying, "My name Is Bobby Scott and I have a problem."

Flashback
As I look out the window of the Donut Shop I see flames coming from the Carnival down the street. I think to myself how could this be and as soon as I try to escape from this strange man in front of me, I see a Mr. Jose Guapo running too. Could he have started the fire? He is known for such things. Anyways, as I try to escape the man comes closer and he begins to speak. He says something about an autograph and I just stare blankly into his eyes. How could he know about my past? How could he know about who I had once been. I look outside to see that it had finally stopped raining and tried to use that as an excuse to get away. I quickly glance outside once more to see his shiny red car and I begin to think....
I tell the man to hold on while I walk out to get some fresh air. Outside felt muggy and humid. The perfect weather to do what I could do so well as a teen. I would have to be quick though I thought to myself. I look inside the Donut Shop to see him sitting and talking with the owner. I could see Jose going into Slickback's place and I decide to go for it. I break the window of the shiny red vehicle and unlock the door. I could feel the rush go through my body as I was reminded of my younger days. I did what I could to get the car started and pushed on the gas. I was doing it. I was doing what I had done before, so many times with friends. Only this time, it was me. Me, Bobby Scott, doing the unthinkable. As I turn to look back towards the now faded Donut Shop, all I could see was the blurring colors of the lights behind me.

Impossible Encounter
I hop out my car and started to run. The color from the car was so blinding that I could barely see where I was going. While I was trying to get away from the car that was following me, I stopped in my tracks when I saw the weirdest thing. An old friend from way back, was picking up meat that fell from a Piggly Wiggly truck. It was the weirdest encounter i've ever had. We stare at each other for a while, thinking how could this possibly be. The last time I had seen him, he was wearing a football uniform. now, he's picking up food to eat off the street. When I look back, I had completely forgotten about the chase that I was taking apart of. I run onto Moth Street into the Donut Shop and go straight to the bathrooms in the back. As i'm hiding in the stall, I think how could this place possibly be in business. Spiders, gum, trash thrown everywhere. I try to get out and when I do, there he is..... Looking at me with a pen and pad in his hand.
U Turn
On the way home, I encountered too many disasters to count on my fingers. The weather outside was pretty cloudy, but one wouldn't think it would affect my day. While on Grove St. waiting for the light to turn green, I had the music up loud and the window rolled down feeling the breeze. As soon as the light turns, I see two large 18 wheelers rollin' down Black Ave. One just happens to get stuck right where I was turning. My gum falls out of my mouth, gets stuck on my new jeans, and I start to scream. I hop out of my car and run down Black Avenue hoping I would make it home in time to change before it was time for work. I decided to make a U turn which was almost impossible, so I could stop by the bakery and chew off some of this madness. A couple donuts extra sprinkles and tons of coffee shouldn't hurt. I try my best to get through the cars, but since they want to be difficult, I pull out a cigarette. I didn't realize it, but my car was slowly rolling down Grove St. I peek out the rear view mirror and my eyes are blinded by a shiny red vehicle with tinted windows.
